I’m a scrappy and motivated film director who is proud to call Chicago my home. I’m on the lookout for projects that excite me, the kind of thing that I can’t shake and don’t want to. I started making movies with friends in middle school simply because it was fun. Nights and weekends were spent working on productions with close collaborators, discovering a passion that continues to this day. I liked it so much, I knew I had to keep the party going so I went to film school. After graduating from DePaul University, I pursued a career in independent cinema and co-directed my first feature film, Meathead Goes Hog Wild. After several years as a freelance filmmaker, I landed a job as the Head of Video at True Productions. There, I learned a lot about commercial filmmaking and adapting to work in a client-facing industry.
Since then, I’ve made several short films with Chicago talent that have screened at festivals around the world, though hometown screenings remain my favorite. Currently, I lead video production for Chervon, a pillar in power tools with EGO, SKIL, and FLEX. I continue to try and create work that feels inherently fun—whether through the subject matter, learning new visual techniques, or collaborating with talented people who help me realize ideas I didn’t even know were possible. When I’m not doing video stuff, I like to walk around, play fetch with my dogg-o, bake bread, and shake my hips a little bit.
